Also we use tesco vouchers for meals out, films, m.o.t and RAC.

Good idea Knitwit! :D We get points on what we pay for electricty/gas, so tend to get the odd voucher. Would be good to use them on cinema, meals out, or even put them towards food or fuel. :T

I'd include them in my 2010 spends, as they've been paid for from income in this year (hopefully). I've already booked my place on a few races for next year, but the entry fees have come out of my 2010 'get fit' fund (which was excluded from this challenge). Any 2012 races I book a place for during 2011 will be charged to my 2011 'get fit' category which is now included in the challenge.
Thanks cw18. Funnily that's exactly what I've done with my 2011 race entry fees and didn't think anything of it.

Kazire ... sorry to hear about your break up. But hopefull you will get a great feeling of satisfaction from getting your budget sorted and making a new start.

Good luck to all the other new joiners too!

Cheryl - your spreadsheet shows very impressive trends. I love how there is no more TV licence but you now have a fitness category. :T

I want to find a way of recording all the little bits of extra money that come my way from selling things, finding coins on the ground, surveys etc. I think Frugaldom called it EEK (everything else kitty) or is that something else? Any ideas how to work that into my spreadsheet?
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Assuming this income would be used to fund things you'd go without if you didn't have the money coming in, then I'd run a couple more worksheets within my spreadsheet for this. On one I'd record the money in (date, where from and amount) and on the other I'd record money out (date, where spent, what on and amount)

Yes that's it exactly - for treats and things that I wouldn't be getting otherwise.

That's a good idea, will add a couple of new worksheets. Thanks Cheryl!
