I have a few friends who home ed
one is here and her old blog is here...
Not feeling too great right now...Dropped purse in street the other day and now current bank are being a nightmare trying to get cash out...Guess it'll be more NSD's which is a good thing but anyhow. Also it could be a week or longer before I get my bus pass back and it's not exactly safe to be walking very far.
So I plan on turning into a night owl to deal with things currently
Interesting the discussion on all things veggie...when stressed it's the only food I can eat.
Made some banana bread the other night for a gift for the depot nurses and even though I somehow managed to burn the bottom of it they were well chuffed. I have my reputation at the hospital to think of :rotfl: The bananas were almost black as it was
Having a muddle so best go..

PS. Please don't fret about me...been here before and have a fab care team...I'll be okay. This is just a blip.

Anyhow just popping by to let interested folks know that I finished THE sock this am and am onto the next one... Has lots of holes (not least my careless kitchener stitch) in the difficult parts (SSK - anyone any tips?) but overall am pleased
Blessings
How is everyone finding the heating with the cold? I think following my bill I have it sorted. - 2 storage heaters for whole flat plus oil heater in bedroom when it gets really cold. Seems to heat the flat okay. Only bill payments (I pay by payment card monthly) haven't gone down cos used the fan heater in the middle month. At least they haven't gone up which with 2 weeks of sub zero is such a blessing
Maybe next quarter they'll go down?

PS. Does anyone else want to join me on the homemade sanitary wear thingy for this next year? Just pm me and I'll tell you how to make them (no sew method) and how to wash them.

Erme the explanation is on this page, just scroll down till you get to ssk. It helps with shaping and helps to eliminate holes.0

HI everyone,
I still haven't finalised my 2011 budget but I looked back on my posts last year and realised I have done very well this year (mainly out of necessity!).
I was aiming for €11,400 for everything but circumstances changed for the worse so I revised that down to €10k (but then I didn't have certain expenses like commuting, stopped getting haircuts and cut some other stuff so that saved a lot). So far I have spent €8726 of that, everything extra was thrown at a loan and a wee bit of savings. Alas, circumstances have got worse again but I will have to manage somehow ... I think I will be aiming for around €9500 for everything.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!
