Twirls and crunchies will do me nicely, they are my favorites... any idea how many mini bars are in each pack please???

    ...............

I've just looked at the back of the packs and done some maths on the "Nutrition Facts"

The Twirls come in a 300g pack and are 530kcal per 100g - so that's 1590 per bag.
The "Per Finger" figure is 115 kcal

    1590 / 115 = 13.826 fingers

So I presume there will be 14 Twirls in a pack, each finger weighing 21.5 grams (approx)
(could be 15 if you are lucky)

The Crunchies are 274g per bag with 470kcal per 100grams and 80 per bar

So that's 1287.8 kcal per bag

    1287.8 / 80 = 16.0975 bars

So I presume there are only 16 Crunchies in a bag - each bar weighing 17.125 grams
    (17 I think would be a bonus !)

I saw another post about "cheap" matlows sweets.

Do you know that the "chewy bars", such as "drumsticks" and "refreshers" and the like are made from lumps of hydrogenated fat.

Essentially you are giving your children pure lumps of hydrogenated fat !!!!!!!!

Yes, much better to give them fruit and veg coated in cancer-inducing pesticides any day of the week....

Even better, why not trying giving them fruit and veg not coated in pesticides :rotfl:

As well as bad for the heart, hydrogenated vegetable fats (inc hydrogenated palm oil) clog up the blood channels of the brain (reducing mental capacity) and they also assist and speed up the transport of "free radicals" (responsible for cancers ect) around the body

One has to make an informed choice.

Ask the trick or treaters when they knock your door. Wouldn't like to be the house that gives them a carrot and a bunch of grapes.

I think the £9 comes from the fact that until very recently the multibuy offer was 2 for £3

Yeah, but it's only just started being advertised at 2 for £2, since they noticed the glitch they decided to change the offer.
