Asda 2 bags for £2 sweets glitch

hello all,
I just thought I'd let you know that I have just bought some of the Swizzels Matlow Monster Mix bags of sweets in my local Asda. These are currently £1.78 or 2 for £2 in Asda. However when I went to pay on the selfscan the till actually took off a discount of £1.96, instead of charging me the £2. I only paid £1.60 so its cheaper to buy 2 bags at the moment than one bag.
I know its only pennies but every little can help to fill up those stocking for xmas, etc..

Yep, I noticed this yesterday. The offer is also on Buttons, Twirl, Dairy Milk and a few others.
I bought 1 bag of Twirls and a bag of Dairy milk. £1.78 and £1.96 minus £1.98, so 2 bags for £1.76:D0 -
ohh, thanks Sahra, I may have to go back to Asda again and get some cheapie trick or treat choccys now...
(it always amazes me how many people read these threads yet don't post or click on thanks, so thank you again)Hello :j  :j0 -

The "glitch" is not on all of these.
The offer is buy 2 for £2
Most of the items on the offer cost £1.98 each hence the £1.96 discount
However there is a Roll-Back on the Twirls and the Crunchies to £1.78
This means these can be bought for £1.60 a pair
£1.78 x 2 = £3.56 - £1.96 = £1.60There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

I have a problem when I'm at work, I always have an error message by the start button saying 'Done, but with errors on page' which means every time I click on the thanks button, it just shoots to the top of the page, so please don't think people don't appreciate all the posts, just don't want to fill the threads up with 'Thanks' posts0 -

I don't think I said the glitch was on all of themI said yes I noticed the ones I stated are on offer (2 for £2), and the Twirls and Dairy Milk came up less.
I suppose it could be misread, but I knew what I meant:rolleyes:0 -

I saw another post about "cheap" matlows sweets.
Do you know that the "chewy bars", such as "drumsticks" and "refreshers" and the like are made from lumps of hydrogenated fat.
Essentially you are giving your children pure lumps of hydrogenated fat !!!!!!!!:eek:0 -

but have never looked at the ingredients
suppose occassionally (ie birthdays and Christmas) it ain't going to do them any harm, its when its everyday that it becomes a problemDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -

Twirls and crunchies will do me nicely, they are my favorites... any idea how many mini bars are in each pack please???
Sorry ukstuff, I didn't mean to offend you, it just always amazes me when you see a thread that gets 1000+ hits, but only a few thanks. I know that not everyone will be interested in the info but surely more than (eek - unlucky number) 13 will find this info useful at least.
I got all excited about actually finding a grabbit thread to post as this section has saved me lots of money, so I wanted to give a little back to you all..Hello :j  :j0
