Ripped off by ALL LPG suppliers

OK I am livid, I changed my supplier a year ago from calor because as an existing customer I was charged through the odds for my LPG.
I moved to Shell where I received a discounted price on my gas but as the normal rate was only 4p more expensive after the 6 months period I wrongly assumed that this was a sign of a fairer company
How wrong I was.................
Starting price..............25p/litre
From 1st April..............29p/litre
From 23rd August.........34p/litre
From 1st November.......38p/litre
Last but not least.......
From 6th December.........45p/litre
Even if you ignore the initial cut price that is an increase of 55% in 3 1/2 months
We the small minority are being ignored by everyone..........it is about time it was mentioned along side the other two sources of heat (mains gas and electric)
I cannot even get a delivery in time for the increase because I received the notice today the 1st and we are snow bound
In July I had 1089 litres of gas at £331.60 it will now cost £514.55
So Martin, if you are reading this...............please do something!!!!!!

22 June 2010 article:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/consumertips/household-bills/7843635/Cheap-gas-deals-end-as-wholesale-prices-rise.html
"Gas bills could rise this winter, experts said, after prices on the wholesale energy market shot up by 45 per cent over the last 10 weeks.......
"According to ICIS Heren, the leading energy analyst, prices for gas this winter – the price that the majority of gas companies will have to pay – have hit 58p a therm, up from 38p a therm in March."
" The rise in wholesale prices has been driven by a variety of factors, most of them related to Britain becoming ever more reliant on imports. It now has to import over half of its gas, up from a quarter just a few years ago. One of the world's largest exporters of liquefied natural gas, Qatar, has started maintenance programme, which has meant major refineries are out of action, causing supply to drop and prices to rise. Norway, another major exporter, has also shut down refineries to undertake maintenance. Added to this, demand has increased around the world, thanks to the global economy gradually improving."
Good excuse?0 -
Um!!!!! Any excuse to put it up, I am going to ring Ofgem today.
What makes it worse is that I pay for my gas before I finish using it, so am due for delivery at the end of the month when I will have paid them..................there is no way I can get a delivery before monday and to fill the tank it will cost nearly £1000 instead of about £600

You are paying £1.23 for a litre of petrol, and most of that is tax,
try complaining about that. It's pointless, the cow asking the farmer can I keep some for my calf.0 -
I have just threatened to leave my present supplier and got it reduced from 48 to 37ppl!!0
