Sky communal dish

i live in a block of 8 flats, the factor has sent a letter saying sky have quoted them for a communal dish to be installed at a cost of £40 per flat. My question is if this was to go ahead would a feed from the dish be put into my flat whether i subscribe to sky or not. As i already have a dish into my living room but if this was to be done i would get it into the bedroom and just use a freesat box on it as it would work out much cheaper than getting an ariel installed for freeview.
Thanks in advance for any answers
