Hi Hammyman I have done a search and can find the document.:j
My only problem is that excel and word has dissappeared therefore I cannot open it.

I do not have the disks as these were added by my PC hospital when they destroyed my original PC in error and then as compensation added Office 2007 to my laptop.

They will need to take my Pc in again for several days to find out whats wrong and if necessary add office 2007 again and I really need to have a copy of my work today.

Therefore is there anyway from the search I can save the document onto my memory stick, and if so how do I do it?

Also is there anyway I can restore my office 2007.

    Thanks in advance :A

Exel and word haven't disappeared, just the shortcut to start the program. Double clicking on the document should open it.

To save the documents on a memory stick do the following.
Search for documents and once you've found them, right click on them then drag them onto the desktop and select "Copy Here". Once you've got them all there, then move them to one edge of the screen. Open up My Computer and minimise the window so you can see the documents on the desktop. You'll see the icon for the memory stick. Select all the documents and drag them to the memory stick icon and it'll copy them there.

To repair Office 2007, go to Add Remove Programs, click on Office 2007 and select Remove. It'll start the uninstaller which will give you an option to repair the installation.
  • thanks for your advice, but now my laptop will not start i have started a separate thread about it. I am using my mobile at the moment.
