Rehydrate the room my daughter is poorly

I wonder if anyone can tell me how I can go about rehydrating the house.
My daughter has the most dreadful dry cough and I think it is because the moisture in the house has been taken out by the central heating being on all the time in this cold spell.
I had in my mind last night (as she joined me in bed and coughed all night) a little contraption to hang over the radiator with water so it would evaporate with the heating on.
Does such a thing exist?
Thanks

A damp towel?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

Damp towel on the radiator's probably most effective, or a bowl of water nearby0

A few plants?0

I used to have storage heaters that dried the air out horribly. I used to stick a saucer of water on them.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0 -
I have used an old jam jar of water sitting on the radiator before. If you like, you could also add something to the water with soothing eucalyptus oil in it, like vicks or olbas oil or similar. Less effective than breathing the steam from a bowl with a towel over the head, but easier to do, and longer lasting!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

we have one of these
a little eucalyptus oil in the container and close the door
used it when my boy was 1 and was really bunged up with a cold
used a few times since for him and for me overnight if i have a cold0 -
Was going to suggest a bowl of water near the radiator, possibly with a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil or Olbas oil."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0

Same advice here - wet towels or flannels on the radiator and a bowl of water in the room.
