Thanks slowlyfading and Palema! We've decided to get married before buying a house because both of our careers are a bit up in the air at the moment! But that's still a couple of years off! The sealed pots are definitely going to come in handy now!

  • Hi all,

I'm going to try this challenge as of this Friday - hoping it will make up a little contingency pot of dosh alongside my attempts to live frugally and maybe earn a little extra cash eventually from freelancing etc when I have the time. No specific target, just looking forward to seeing those pennies creeping up!

Hello Palema can I join too please..really like the simple idea..

Think I will also add in my £2 coin stash to this on a weekly basis and try and combine the savings. I so love collecting what I still think of as being special chocolate money!

    Thanks

Ooo... This is a good idea can I join :j

Instead of having a savings account I will make an extra payment to the credit card that I'm trying to clear in 2011. I probably won't start until Jan though as I'm off on my Christmas holls from next week (My pet rat is most unimpressed that I'm leaving him with a house sitter over Christmas and is doing his best to make me feel guilty)

    Hi Amatheya81, hattifattener and brizzledfw
    Welcome aboard :)

    Good luck with the savings.
You don't have to put up your totals on a Friday, it's just some do find it easier to have a day each week that they transfer. If you do transfer any money just pop a post on here and I will add it to your total
    Happy Savings
