How much shall I sell my old iPhone for?

Hey guys,

I know this is rather stupid question, but I am not sure what is a realistic price to sell this for to a friend.

I am selling my iPhone 3G 16gb white in excellent condition, a few marks at the bottom but otherwise looks perfect. Recycling price is between £120 - £150, ebay price coudl go up to £200 give or take, so seller actually gets around £175- £180. I am thinking of selling it for £155 to this friend, too expensive? too cheap? reasonable?

Cheers

How old is your iPhone and is it the same specs as mine? 3G, 16Gb and White? I have noticed white tends to go for higher fees for some reasons, probably because they don't sell that anymore even in 3GS. What I don't want happening is that if the phone does break in 3 months time, which I have no way of telling and I do hope it won't happen, but like any other 2nd hand item, it could happen, my friend will blame me for it and I would end up having an earache.

That's the risk you take selling to friends. If they are reasonable (sensible) they must expect if it goes wrong it's their problem, it's not like you deliberately sold them a lemon. Things break, that's life.
