getting the same customer service representative

Im not sure where to put this, but i've already googled it.

I was wondering if there is some way to ensure that you get to talk to the same customer representative over the phone whether it be for utilities, phone, internet, etc.

Not only would this aid in ensuring that my query would be sorted out properly (as they would already have dealt with me) it kinda puts a name to a face (of the company).

I've tried asking for their name, but most phone operators appear to work shifts or give a false name.

Any ideas people?

    It's impossible.
    Most companies have 4 or 5 call canters spread out over the world.For example,Sky BBand have 2 in Belfast,1 in Londonderry,1 in the Phillapines,2 in Scotland & a couple in England.The is no inter-office e-mail set up to allow agents to contact other centers nor are the phone facilities to allow the same.

    I used to have my broadband with NDO (before they were swallowed up by a much larger rival), and is was often possible when phoning tech support that I would get to speak to the same person, because, at a guess, they only had maybe half a dozen in tota. The same might apply even now to some of the very small ISP's. But with BT/BG/TT etc being huge companies, forget it.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Now that's just a stupid idea...

    If you spoke to the same person each time then they couldn't just take your through the same pointless script time after time at 0870 number rates.

  • ask for a query / call reference- anyome pulling up details SHOULD be able to help..?
    Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
