    Stainless steel can rust. If there is anything (water, dirt etc) on the surface of the knife preventing oxygen getting to it, it will rust.

    I am acutely aware of this since my girlfriend managed to ruin 2 of my Global knives!! :(
  • Well chez, it goes to show you are never to old to learn a new trick, very interesting site, although I can't say that it sunk in completely.

    Will defo be not letting my good knives near my dishwasher in future.
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.
