Yep Very make it clear on the statements that you need to call them.
Unless you call them even if you make a payment into your account it will not clear any BNPL deal. My account was in credit by the BNPL amount, I thought they would just take the payment automatically, but they don't and I still needed to ring them.
I did so and received no such problems as the OP.
TBH the BNPL are very good deals as sometimes items are the same price as on the high street and sometimes only a little more.
I certainly will use them again and now I know not to bother loading the account up, but just ring them and pay for BNPL when they are due.0 -
I ordered stuff bnpl and have had the same problem. i calready had a balance outstanding and called to see how much i had to pay to clear bnpl and my orig balance. After paying the amount advised when my statement came through the following month i still had money to pay. even though i'd cleared balance and a further amount came out by DD.
When i called to complain i was told it would have to be passed to interest dept to d.w.
I got my next statement which said i still owed money and they had taken another DD amount, i called to complain. spoke to 3 people before demanding a manager who said he'd again pass my dets to the interest dept who would call me back in a week. i was on the phone for an hour
two weeks have now passed and i've had no call. Do i wait for next statement to see what they've done or settle down for another hour long phone call???
This company is a disgrace!!0 -
just want to point out, the delivery charge is not BNPL, be careful not to incur late payment fees over this.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0

Yes definately a small but very important point. I wasn't aware of this at the time, but I always set up a direct debit as soon as I open any accounts to ensure I don't miss payments.
Again though the information was there for me to see on my opening statement. I wonder though how many customers don't bother opening/looking at the statement that says £3.95 minimum repayment required £3.95 by xxxxxxxx and get hit by a payment for such a small amount.0 -
They remove it eventually, the same thing happened to me. they said there was a backlog but I got my interest charges back0
