new boiler system

A friend of mine is a heating engineer and he fitted a £250 diverter valve to my heatline boiler, as another heating engineer told me thats what it needed, it didnt fix it! As i inherited the awful boiler system my friends recommemnded getting a new boiler

So hes said get some quotes for a Ferolli boiler system 24kw which will have a 3/5year warranty on it and get them to fit it as even though hes corgi registered i wouldnt get the warranty if he fitted it,

i live in a 1bed ground floor flat terraced flat, with noone above me and itw in west kirby next to the sea, so pretty cold at the mo! He reckons i should be able to get a quote for about £1200, is this reasonable? i just want something thats gonna last me 3 years before i move up the property ladder, any help would be appreciated on good CHEAP boilers
