Thanks everyone! I've just had a lovely bath that went a bit like this....

1 - leave dog downstairs as he's not allowed upstairs. Give new fresh bone to put a smile on his face.

2 - 'allow' cat to follow me upstairs.

    3 - Run bath

4 - watch cat jump on side of bath, fall in, jump out, fall in again, jump out.

5 - Get in bath, lie back, relax.... cat jumps on side of bath, gets off side of bath onto me. Sits on my chest (me inhaling fluff).

6 - Cat bored with dipping paw in water, jumps out.

7 - Finally!! able to properly relax and enjoy bath!

oh... and no pix of any of that!!!! :rotfl:

PS Happy Birthday to patchwork's cat too!!

She's blue smoke. I'm hoping to breed from her next year, but will talk to breeder first re stud cats and also getting her put on the breeding register, which will cost me a bit. She did have a very dark mask when her adult coat started coming through, but now her face seems to be going the same blue as her body.
  • Was she not sold on the active register? I am a GCCF registered breeder, but not currently breeding. I registered my blue boy as solid blue, but i think he is blue smoke- his mum is black smoke and half brother is silver tabby. I want a blue tabby, but no more cats for the moment - I'm not allowed!

Oh this is the trouble isnt it... you see (yet) another beautiful kittie, and there you go... I could quite happily end up as the mad old lady with half a dozen kitties for company!! (although not one of the bonkers ones who has millions - think it would be a little smelly!)

There's nothing crazy about having 6 cats for company ( click on my sig below and you will see why I say that! )
Honestly though, I would LOVE a blue MC at some point so if you are breeding her please let me know where you are!!

I have 3 coonies, and my vet generally reckons the kitten food isn't particularly necessary. My first one was 20-odd weeks when we got her and used to steal the adult moggies food so we gave up pretty quickly! My second one, the breeder didn't bother with kitten food, and the 3rd had been raw fed when we got him and moved in to royal canin adult food quite quickly. He's now 10 months, and all 3 of them are now on the Royal Canin Maine Coon and have been for a couple of months now, it seems to agree with their tummies - possibly because it stops them inhaling their food!

I have a white and blue smoke, a silver tabby (both girls) and a cream tabby (boy kitten who is huge!)

No, of course it isnt crazy! Sounds eminently sensible to me! I'm in Berkshire, and will probably breed from her next year, so if you are interested pm me and I will keep you posted :)
