As i know a few of you have Coonies, I wondered if anyone could help... my hooligan is now 6 months and is fed on Science Plan kitten. Quite happy with that, she is doing well, but my question is, as she will be still growing for some time, do I keep her on the kitten formula or change to adult?

I totally agree with this sentiment!
Perhaps you could ask the pet shop owner or assistant as they would get the info from the rep they order the food from.
Or there might be a customer helpline number on the packaging you could call.0 -

I think there is absolutely no need to feed kitten food at any age TBH! It's all a bit of a con with most formulas being near identical to adult food...maybe slightly higher protein/fat but not enough to justify the extra cost..!
Look here

for loads of accurate information regarding both wet and dry foods. You will find that most well priced, decent quality foods are sourced online from Zooplus etc rather than found in high st shops
Any change over of food should of course be done gradually to avoid tummy upsets.0 -

Feed kitten food until 1 year. My mentor did advocate switching them earlier as they can suffer with arthritis as they age and she felt that if they didn't grown quite so big the risk was reduced. Royal Canin is very good for adults as they do a specific one with a larger kibble. My oldest coonie boy is 3 today- he is the biggest at 21 lbs, mum isn't very big and nor is his little brother. I don't breed them anymore.0

ah lovely, how cute is that.
Our tinker is mainly maine coone and she is also long haired and beautiful and about nine years old. She is White, brown and black and sometimes she perks her ears up and she is almost lynx like.
Tinker is my avatar over to the left, she is so long when stretched out she can reach the worktops in the kitchen.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
