American Airlines to NY/BOS sales coming up?

Anyone know of any American Airlines flights sale to US coming up?

I need to travel to upstate NY in February, can go via NYC or Boston from Manchester or London.

I've got to fly American because I've got American Airlines vouchers that have to be used before end of Feb.

I missed the last sale! D'oh! :(

There is usually a sale straight after Christmas.

There are often sales immediately after Christmas, but that may be leaving it a little late for travel in February. Also, you'd need to be sure that whatever airline voucher you have can be applied to sale fares (what sort of voucher do you hold?).

AA and BA have recently increased their relationship so there may be options to fly BA via an AA booking, but again you'd need to be sure your voucher can be applied in that way.

Personally, if you need to travel before a specific date then I'd just book the travel then never look again. Otherwise you may wait for a sale which doesn't arrive, or may not cover the dates you need to travel by. Even during sales certain routes don't benefit for a variety of reasons - it never tends to be all classes on all routes.

I've found Manchester to Boston via LHR for £469 as the worst (but shortest)
Manchester to Boston via Chicago is £414 but takes forever
London Heathrow to Boston direct is £392, but i've got to factor in train fares return of about £50 (plus time).
I haven't done a huge search on LHR to NYC yet but may find that cheaper again (and will need to factor in train costs from NYC to Albany).

I flew last April (pre-volcano) and got much better prices than this: i wondered if i should hold on to find something MUCH cheaper or, as the other post suggests, just go for it on the dates I want...

Good call about the voucher restrictions - i hadn't thought of that, i better ring and ask!:T

Perhaps the increase in departure taxes may account for the difference in total prices that you're finding.
