Is a review of the ongoing Dynamic tests due for full release December .
Look at the three test and it shows varying performance each month .
Looking at the tests i would throw out anything that got below 95 %
in any test .
That would throw out Avast ,AVG ,Bit Defender , Kingsoft , Norman ,
Panda , PC Tools , Trend Micro .

Using FIREFOX with the NOSCRIPT plugin would probably block 100% of those. Which would make the test a tad useless:idea:0 -
Only irrelevant if all the world used FF and No Script .Fat chance of that i think .
The main reason fr security products is error between chair and keyboard.

I agree that most dont. But claiming that avs are the ONLY line of defence and so all statistics should be based on them simply isnt true
If people completely rely on them, they WILL come unstuck at some point:idea:0 -
I have Microsoft Security Essentials running on my laptop and it is scheduled to automatically run a full scan every Sundy 10pm, but now and again (now for example) the security protected icon goes from green to orange and i get a message telling me I haven't scanned my laptop in a while. i can't see how else to configure the settings, but don't know why it comes up with this message every week or so?0

thing is, with all these tests, it all depends on what the test malware samples are....now if the testing organisations got together and combined all their sample sets, we may get a much more accurate set of results - unfortunately, I believe it'll never happen......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0
