  • I bought Dairy Milk bars and Twirls on BOGOF £1.99 form Tesco and also treat size Mars and Malteasers 2 for £2.89 so I am giving those. But I have kept a selection of each back as stocking fillers! Since DD and I will be trick or treating ourselves though, we won't be in that long for treat or treaters to call.

Make some little chocolate krispie cakes. Otherwise cheap sweets or mini mars bars or the like. I won't pay the rip off prices for Hallowe'en sweets packed with e-numbers & I don't belive is giving out money. But well done for joining with Hallowe'en:T

I buy small chocolate bars as I don't give my kids sweets that make them hyper. Asda have the small packs od Pringles on offer so I may get some of those (if I haven't missed the offer!).

I don't agree with giving out money.
Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!

I go and hide at my mother in laws, she lives down a lane so no kids go past that way.

I really have a problem with it, for example apart from the wee fella next door, I don't know any of the kids in our street so why should I have to give out sweets etc.

  • Give 'em fruit! That will stop the sods knocking next year! :rotfl:
  • We usually accumulate a few bags of random sweets (like big bags of gummy sweets etc) from members of the family, so we make up little bags with mixed sweets in. This year, we didn't have so many gifts of sweets, so we bought a couple of bags of cheapy sweets, and made some bags up from them! The kids always seem really chuffed, because they seem quite big!! :)

I like all the ideas. Great stuff. I don't believe in giving sweets (a couple of the neighbours kids are hyper anyway!) but then started giving money - only been in this area a couple of years now.

I think fruit will be good :D Otherwise, I could make some choc corflake slices and give them out - hyper or not! Hubby hates kids knocking on the door. Last year they came, I opened the door and one of the kids had the scariest outfit on. I nearly jumped out of my skin! Just as well I don't have a heart condition ;)

Thanks everyone. Hope you all have a great Halloween, whatever you are doing.
