Lidl Parking Parking Charge Notice

Received a PCN for overstaying permitted time at Lidl's - and have shredded all correspondence received from Athena ANPR over the past few months. Have also received a letter from LRC Legal Recoveries Ltd re the outstanding account - Athena ANPR Ltd. I have ignored this letter too and have made no contact whatsoever.
However, now I have had two telephone calls from LRC in the last few days - they have my home telephone number! So what should I do now? Many thanks.

Its just another link in the chain, did you give them your number or have they found it? Put the phone down if they ring and ignore the letters.;)0 -

Carry on ignoring them, if they ring again either tell them you will report them for harassment or put the phone down and turn the radio up very loud next to the phone until they hang up.
Whatever you do don't pay them, LRC have no more powers than you or I, all they are doing is trying to frighten you into paying.0 -

That's the general advise to ignore! If you enter in to dialogue with them it just encourages them. In answer to the question did the OP overstay its irrelevant.
The overstaying issue is just a tactic they use to try and charge people. If you parked to shop at Lidl then you had a right to be there whatever time it took.0 -

Try reading this forum and you will see that ignoring these scammers is the best thing to do, what does it matter if they did go over the permitted time it is a free car park so there is no loss to Lidl.0 -
Have no idea how they got my telephone number - but will ignore as have done with the letters. Thanks for the advice0

a good service from BT, but I think we pay for it! When they ring you up - even if they withold the number, you can call bar them, so that whenever they try to get through again they get an engaged tone.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -

No, you're clearly not the best person to help.0 -

Problem is that these companies have several numbers so get round that one. Best option is just hang up or say hold on and leave them there till they hang up.0
