Hi Scrounger,

I've been trying to apply for a Tesco Clubcard Credit card and am having a bit of a fight with the process. There doesn't seem to be anywhere to enter the BONUS 1000 code online, so I scrapped that and tried phoning. After trying the number you quoted and calling the Holiday Inn Reservations line a few times, I double checked the number and it should be 0800 406050. I got through on Friday night, but their systems were down and they couldn't help. Tried again on Saturday, but they were still struggling. Spoke to Robert on Sunday afternoon and he seemed to have a problem with the code. He demanded to know where it came from and how I happened to have it. I told him it came from a friend, but he wasn't too happy about that. After being interogated for 5 mins I gave up, as he was getting grumpy due to not being able to follow his script. I said I would find out a bit more and would call back.

Where did you find out about this offer? Is there anywhere online that I can view the details?

You need to have applied for your card between 1/11/10 and 28/2/11; after you receive it, provide your 'friend' with the last 4 digits of your new Tesco card, name and address and Clubcard number and you each qualify for 1000 clubcard points. :beer:

I don't mind recommending anybody.

I had the bonus 1000 offer and tried to apply online but couldn't find anywhere to enter the promotion code. So I phoned Tesco and asked where to put it in the application process and they said you couldn't do it online you needed to phone in and quote it.

When you receive your card don't forget to get recommended by an existing cardholder in order to qualify for a further 1000 Clubcard points.

Applied for card successfully today on the phone - only problem was that they wouldn't give me bonus 1000 because I hadn't actually got a Clubcard (its in my wife's name) - they had to actually set me up with my own Clubcard!!!
