Hi Dave
I've had a Tesco card for nearly three years and I successfully applies for a 0% NW card back in January.
I do bank with NW, so I don't know if that made a difference . However, I didn't experience any problems getting the 0%, so I would say that it's definitely worth applying.

I have both credit cards - had the NW first and no problems subsequently getting the Tesco card.
Incidentally, if you use promotion code: BONUS 1000 on your application (or mention it on the phone) and you will qualify for 1000 free Clubcard points.

Tesco card is now independant to RBS/Natwest and is run by tesco financial services so having a natwest card should have ni effect on obtaining the tesco card.0

Why is the GM card being withdrawn and what happens to the points saved?0

I can't seem to find a place to put in the code when making an application online. Where is the box for this?0 -
There may be a box towards the end of the application process to enter the 'promotional code'.
Alternatively, apply by phone: 0800 406050.
[The 'BONUS 1000' points offer ends 19/12/10.]

Because one of the business partners pulled out. No longer convenient for them it seems. I assume that if it was the bank, GM would have found another, so it must have been GM economising at our expense.
Neither GM nor the bank bothered about us customers, didn't bother to provide another card with the same credit limit to avoid inconveniencing loyal customers, many of whom held the card for 10 years or more - just "goodbye and thanks for all the fish"
The points will last til March 2012, should you still consider GM cars are worth buying after what they did to us...0 -
Tesco credit cards are currently issued by RBS. However, Tesco Bank will be issuing their own cards in 2011.0
