Delays with e2save and OSPS Order Processing?

I placed separate orders with e2save and OSPS this afternoon (one of the handsets I wanted was only on OSPS). Both orders were placed before 3pm which is the cut-off time stated on both sites for next day delivery.

I received an order acknowledgement from e2save but the status has remained at the "order received/locating stock" stage. I've now received a further email stating there is a delay of up to 48 hours in fulfilling orders.

I haven't even received an order acknowledgment from OSPS (in my email box), but if I log into the site, it's also just showing "order received", with no further info.

Also, although the e2save order is shown as having been "tracked" on QuidCo, the OSPS order has not appeared yet.

Is this normal/typical of the order process with these sites?

    hi Des,

Went for the Motorola L6 on e2save and a Sony W550i on OSPS. The L6 is promoted across all their sites (e2s, OSPS and CPW) so I'd be surprised if they had stock shortages on that one. The W550i is only on OSPS so I suppose it could be out of stock even though I've just checked and it's still showing as available (as a clearance item).

I'm surprised that OSPS haven't even emailed me an order confirmation though - I know it's the right email address because thats what I'm using to login into the account status online.

  • Hi Jaxer

My brother recently ordered phone from OSPS

    He ordered late sunday evening.
It arrived tuesday morning, although on their site it was showing as 'order received' on monday night.

Maybe it will arrive in next 1-2 days?? Not next day delivery i know but wait and see

Well, I placed an order this morning for a (non-refurb) L6 with E2Save.

Received a txt and email at around 17:30 that my phone had been despatched.

No idea why you didn't get sorted!

    Cheers, Des.

I've ordered lots of phones (6 at least) on contract from OSPS via quidco etc.. all have arrived 3 or 4 days late.

Recently I had an order cancelled (I asked for 3 phones) called to see what the problem was and they will only ship 2 phones per person due to fraund. So I had to order 2 phones, and the third in the SOs name. Not complaining as I got the Quidco payment for the order they'd cancelled!

OSPS sales are slow and now for cash back I have to send 3 seperate letters recorded, but so far I've had all the cash backs paid in over 2 years.

Only one more cash back due in Jan 07 finger crossed.

E2Save OSPS etc ship there kit via a central dispatch mine came from Acton for orders from OSPS and CPW, reading the delivery note and packing slips CPW seem to do the logisitics etc, Even the cash back cheques from OSPS I got yesterday were sent out from CPW Acton, even though the paperwork I sent in went to OSPS in Crewe. I was sent E2Save vouchers with my phones even though I bought the phones from OSPS!

I noticed the address was not in Crewe and called CS to check the terms of the cash back and the address for the cashback "I see you are not in Crewe" glad I checked the packing people in CPW action had stuff the E2Save vouchers not the OSPS ones. ALWAYS check the paperwork in the when you get the phones as omissions will NOT be fixed later!

Virgin were amazing I ordered at 1:30 am and the phone arrived at 7am the SAME DAY! This was for a refurn PAYG for £9.99 with £8 cash back and free P&P a few months ago, got 8 phones like this all arrived in good time, but the same day stuff was amazing!

Thanks for all the feedback. Got online confirmation from both sides now that they've been despatched today. The strange thing is that I still haven't received any email acknowledgment from OSPS, but having spoken to them, they've said all the paperwork will be in the pack being sent out.

I don't if this means anything but the OSPS confirmation text came from "Carphone Warehouse" as the sender, whereas the esave one was labelled as "e2save".

The other thing is that when I called OSPS on their 0800 sales number it was picked up by an operator straightaway, no holding at all. "ith e2save, I was kept on hold (again on the 0800 sales line) for over 25 mins. Called them around 12:15pm.
