£5.00 spent since my last post.

Popped into Tesco on my way to my sisters on Christmas eve and got some bits including an 18 pack of crisps reduced to 50p as they're dated yesterday.
Then went in again this morning (i'm not obsessed - I was working and it's on my way in :p) for a hunt through the bargains.
For £2.19 I got; 4 cheese scones, 4 iced buns, 4 wholemeal rolls, 6 garlic naan breads, box of tomatoes, half a cucumber and a bag of 5 peppers.

I'm going to get most of it in the freezer later.

Please can I be put down for £50 again for January.

Still a few more days left of this month and I am already £19.39 over, oh dear !! I will properly update my siggy at the end of the month when I declare.

I am now going to make a determined effort to use up everything we have in the freezer and cupboards.

I started joining in with grocery challenges on 9th January 2010 and to date I have spent £1161.35. I am going to use this a base and see if I can do better next year :D

Can you put me down for £100 for January please ?

Hope everyone is having a great xmas x

Well still nothing spent since my last post but tomorrow is undoubtedly going to be a spendy day so I will be back to update then.

I have decided to move to an annual budget for 2011 if thats ok Mrs M .................?? I would like to set an annual budget of £1400 please. This is a slight reduction on what I normally spend but with the way prices are going (up now theres a suprise) I think it will be a struggle (bearing in mind I struggled to come in on budget at the higher amount!!!).

My budget will include everything grocery, toiletries, over counter meds etc.

The plan is to have an annual budget so I can take up any suitable offers/use appr0ved f00ds discount codes etc but in my mind I shall be working to a monthly budget also so that I can keep an eye on my spends - works out at about £116 per month so if I go over one month I shall be trying to reel it back in the following month.

    Hiya,

I'm going for £330.00 for the month of December
    Will finish 31st December.

    Previous Total £236.92

    Co-op £10.75

    New Total £247.67

  • Hi! This is my first post but I've been admiring the thrifty ways of you all for some time! (creepy?!)
Want to start the new year with some better habits, including what I hope will be a whole year of GC! Like Spiggle, I like the idea of 'completeness'!
So put me down for £180 for the calendar month (4 and a half weeks) of January. That's for two adults and a greedy kitten. I have no idea whether this is generous or not (my mother would definitely say it was!), but this will be my first real proper monthly buget, so I'll see how it goes. And well done everyone, Christmas is a funny time of year and mostly everyone seems to have done really well (unlike me, I'll be eating resurrected roast beef for weeks. Went a bit mad, especially since I was only cooking for two, and the aforementioned cat.)

    Thanks! I'm so excited! Lol!:j
No buying toiletries in November: Unnecessary money spent £0.00/ UUs 9/INs 0 :D

  • Could you please put me down for an annual budget of £2500

My intention is to stick to £200 a month but going to give myself a safety net of £100.

Ta very much. I do have some shopping being delivered tomorrow, and then my next shop should not be until 2011. Except perhaps for milk.

    Can I join for January?
Can you put me down for £300 (that's 2 adults and 2 children). I haven't taken part for many many months but I need to get back into keeping a tight budget, especially with the price going up an up.
My month won't start until 7th January as that is when OH is paid and my month will run 4 weekly to coincide with future paydays.
