Just totted up my spends from this weekend and I've spent £24.44.
I only have £5.79 left of my budget so I really don't think I am going to manage it this month. On the plus side I have got everything for Xmas apart from the turkey to get in the week :rudolf:0 -
Just thought I would let you all know that the Christmas muffin recipe which I got from the BBC website is delish:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/christmasminimuffins_73210
I didn't have any cranberries or white chocolate so used twice as much dark chocolate and mincemeat. It made about 32 of the little beauties and 28 of them are now in the freezer. I didn't ice them as I don't like things to be too sweet - but I think they would look great if you did.
Looks like I might have an enforced day at home tomorrow as work may be closed or if it's not no buses are getting up the hill so I won't be driving up and it's too far to walk!
Have a good evening everyone.

Finally took DS and his GF to A*da yesterday to do their Christmas food shop, didn't really need much myself but still managed to spend £34.02 !
It started snowing heavily as we were leaving the store, and settled quickly causing gridlock on the roads, so the journey to their flat that would normally take about 20 mins took over an hour, and then after helping them into their flat with the shopping OH and I had to drive back to our house, a journey which normally takes about 45 mins and yesterday took about 2 hours in almost blizzard conditions, we were so glad to finally get home in the warm! We were supposed to go to MIL's last night for dinner, but she called it off as it would have been too dangerous trying to get there, not to mention we probably wouldn't have got back up our road when we returned, as it would have been too icy and it's all uphill!
At least I don't NEED to go to the shops in the near future as the cupboards, fridge and freezer are full so I only have to go out to go to work, unfortunately I live too close to my workplace to have an excuse to not go in, lol!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Good morning
Hope everybody can get where they need to go and do what they need to in this difficult (but very pretty!) weather. I have to clean the house as the folks are coming tomorrow - very boring but at least indoors!
I had a T*sco shop on Friday, and got a few bits over the weekend which has taken me up to £421.68/£450. I've got an A*da shop for Tuesday eve for last minute things so I'm not going to make it. The A*da shop does need a chop though as it's largely munchies and soft drinks. I'm hoping that after Xmas there will be plenty around to use up (Christmas cake for breakfast - yum!) and I won't need to buy much for the rest of the year.
The freezer run-down is going well - shepherd's pie for us and spag bol for the kids tonight. I'm working my way through some beetroot soup at the moment - can't get anyone to join me though(it's Crank's borscht - well I like it - very Christmassy colour!)
I reckon (prediction alert!!) I'll go about £50 over. I haven't spent up my other budgets yet so hopefully I'll be able to do some juggling and won't bite too hard into January (a quick thank you to the credit union without which I don't know how I would manage Christmas at all!:T).
Have a good week!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0
