Hi all new to forum, well been on a few times just looking for advice on stuff.

Ive looked all over to see who i can get in touch with about this.

Ive put it in heating as thats what it consern's,if in wron place could it pleased be moved to where its meant to be,thx

We live in a council house there is my self/wife 5 children + 1 new born.

We moved in to it last yr,it has a back boiler for water and heating, not sure what make got a black dail under it 1-4 then high.

thing is it heats the water barly and the heating is just as bad that with the setting on high all the time, the house has damp in kitchen ect,and cant dry it out.

I got in touch with council to get it change to combi or whatever, and they keep saying theres nothing wrong with it i know different i live there they dont,if we leave it on constent its barly doing any thing but costing a fortune,we barley used it for 2 months when first moved in and that cost us £250 and that was to just to have hot water to bath kids etc.

At the min we have to heat the water up buy kettle/pans etc summers we get about 1 bath approx quarter the way up,winter water wont go hot barly goes warm.

I am goin to contact them again and possibly give them a mouthfull before i do this,is there any one i can contact like enviremental health or something,as i would like to take this further and wanted to know if i can threaten them with some one,as i am at a total loss.

Many Thx...Vamp

As far as I know they have to provide the means to have hot water & heating, not necessarily to be able to do it efficiently.
  • I know dealing with the council can be very frustrating when they don't listen, but giving them a mouthful is unlikely to yield results. I would ask that someone look at it again, as it really is not working properly. Because you are dealing with the council, you can not involve Environmental Health, but you could ask your Local Councillor to take a complaint up for you + your Councils website should also explain the complaints procedure.
