try safe mode with command prompt

The system probably has a factory restore partition (CTRL F11 at boot), however this will wipe all your data - if you need the data you could use a usb-ide/sata adapter to get it first

Pressing F12 at boot may allow you to boot from the CD, which may then allow you to do a repair, or chkdsk from recovery console

Will try safemode with command prompt now. What do i need yo enter as a prompt?
If that fails i shall cntrl f11...dont care about losing stuff,i can always get it back.

Tried to yes but been unsuccessful.

As in youve not managed to uninstall it?

Theres quite a few things you can try (formatting and reinstalling being the favourite).
If it was me id try repairing the core windows components ~

    Download GLARY UTILITIES
    http://www.glaryutilities.com/download/gusetup_slim.exe
Goto MODULES / SYSTEM TOOLS / WINDOWS STANDARD TOOLS / then run SYSTEM FILE CHECKER

then force remove it with revo if possible
Download REVO UNINSTALLER (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')

plug the router in, on the pc do

    start, run

    cmd

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig

put the gateway ip address into your browser

then configure your encryption password assuming it's wireless

you don't need to install anything or use the disc

You don't need to INSTALL a router, the only reason you need the cd that came with it is for the user manual :)

What you DO need is your ISP username and password to put into your router for it to authenticate to your internet account.

Connect the router to the pc with an ethernet cable. Open a browser and type the router's IP address into the ADDRESS bar (not the search bar)...most D-link use 192.168.1.1 but check your model. most D-link use admin and admin as default login details. Find the ADSL setup (or the inbuilt wizard) to enter ISP details, and you should be good to go :)

oops..closed got in there while I was typing :D
    ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

What was it you installed off the CD that caused this problem? Are you sure that the two are related?
Make and model of the router?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
