Update: Thank You Cards

Having received so many lovely gifts after the birth of my DS (15 days ago, and almost 10lbs - ouch!), I want to send some thank you cards out.

I've taken quite a few cute photos, so am after a website where you can get say 20 personalised cards for a "reasonable" price.

So far, the best I've seen is photobox, which offers 10 cards for £9.95.

Does anyone have any suggestions, as this seems rather a lot to me!

My salary has taken a HUGE hit thanks to maternity pay, so I'm attempting to do things on a budget nowadays. :p

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

  • OP many congrats on your new addition. I'm not sure about sites and whether the cost youve been quoted is reasonable but could you not just buy some blank Thankyou cards and hand write your message and include a photo of the darling?

I'd buy some A5 card, fold in half then buy some smaller sized photo's stick on the front and voila!

I did think about making them myself, but life with a newborn is rather tiring, so I was thinking it would be easier to just buy some online... Plus with a dog, anything that involves sticking would also be decorated with black dog hair!

I've just discovered I can actually buy a printer including ink for £40, so that might be an option!

Will look for some photobox codes too.

You might want to go to a local printer and see what they will do them for, or ring them if you cant be bothered to trek around
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Trekking around not an option, as I have no car for at least another week :( (OH has stolen it to get to work, as his died, and we live in the sticks!).

I've found "Vistaprint.co.uk" who will do 30 cards for about £14 (although not sure if they add any extra costs on!), and I can upload my own design. Has anyone used them before?

Google Vistaprint. I think they sign you up for a recurring payment if you don't have your wits about you.

There's at least one thread on here about it.

Pinkshoes - I just got some photos printed and wrote a thankyou message on the back. Everyone seemed to appreciate them plus it means you can keep your message quite short!

Oh, and I have used BonusPrint https://www.bonusprint.co.uk in the past for invitation cards and they were very reasonable. From 45p each and the more you buy the cheaper they are.

I have used Vistaprint on a number of occasions and in my opinion their products are good quality and a decent price. They have lots of designs available and there is the option to add your own photo which is easy to do.

I've never had any problem with them charging me each month although I know some people have. It is easy top opt out of it but it might be worth checking how you do this before you place and order to make sure you don't have any unexpected suprises :)
