bt broadband

hello everyone, im in need of all you moneysaving experts advice out there:)
i moved into my new home in june and hav had sky tv and sky talk line rental since then, but i hav no broadband as of yet. my problem is that sky cant offer me broadband due to it being a new build or something.
when sky installed my sky box the also put in my new phone line, or open reach did lol, at present bt are the only ones who can offer me decent broadband but im wondering if i can cancel sky talk line rental early and switch my calls to bt aswell as having broadband with them?? if that makes sense. or do i stay with sky and just take broadband with bt?? any advice or help will be much appreciated. james.

You'll find that if you cancel early, you'll more than likely have to pay the rest of the contract. As for BT allowing you broadband on what is effectivly a non BT line,I don't know.

You do not have to use BT, there are dozens of better alternatives.

You have either a phone line owned by BT or a Virgin Cable to the house .
If BT check the exchange with Samknows to see what ISPs provide internet over the BT line .

Where did you get that idea from? It might be some sort of new build postcode/addressing issue with the Sky database, but since you already have account with them, that makes no sense. Ask them to tell you the precise reasons they cannot supply you with broadband.
Are you on a Sky LLU exchange?-if not you can only get the dire Sky Connect broadband service anyway, which is very expensive. Look at samknows for your LLU options as already suggested.

Sorry, what I meant was BT might take exception to you paying Sky for your phoneline instead of them,so they might say we (BT) wont give you broadband unless you get everything from us (BT)
