  • just been to fatclub and lost 4.5lb in 2 weeks, so that's 7.5lb in 5 weeks
  • I lied it's 8lb in 5 weeks. No wonder I'm in financial difficulties if I can't add 3.5 and 4.5.

  • There are days when I make other people cry, but today was not one of them. Today the tears were mine - just a really crap day in general, started I think by me getting really cross and frustrated about some stuff. And the day just seemed to get worse.

On the plus side, only spent 1.49 and that was on a loaf of bread in the corner shop, which isn't actually on the corner at all but in the middle of the street, but the "middle of the street shop" doesn't quite have the same ring about it.

And yes, I know it's a bit pricey for a loaf of bread but i'm new at this saving money lark. And I did have yesterday's left overs for my tea, and intend to have the leftovers of the leftovers for tomorrow's lunch, but will nuke it in the microwave to kill any nasty germs.

And best of all, my son had bought mini battenburg cakes, and I had one of them for my pudding - yummy
  • And I've just made my first Christmas card
  • Well here I am again.

Today I signed up to some of the cashback sites/survey sites to earn points/money in whatever way I can.

Another no spend day, which I believe in the money saving world is known as NSD.

And my book arrived that I orderd from Amazon - "What Colour is your parachute" which I am going to persuae one of the lads to give me, so the money I spent on that will shortly be reimbursed, or so I hope.

Just going to make some sarnies for tomorrow - cheese and marmite I think.

tomorrow will not be a NSD as I am going out for a Christmas meal with my quilty ladies - we are going to swap handmade christmas cads.

    Thank you Souk08

    Today
I went to M&S and bought one of their reduced men's sweaters (from £29.99 to £10) and then persuaded the security guard to go and get me another one - the security guard in my building not the security guard in M&S. That's 2 presents sorted

I went to the charity shop and bought about a squillion hanks of wool - yes wool, not yarn, for £15 (there has to be about £200 of wool) so intend to knit squares, then make them into blankets, attach them to a fleece and that's next year's Christmas sorted.

And then ordered Thornton's chocolate hamper reduced from £120 to £60 then used 15% code (although later discovered I could have used a 20% code) and as it was over £40 got free delivery - hopefully I should get cashback as well if the site works properly, or maybe if I did it properly. And that's most of this year's Christmas sorted

Finally - went out for a meal, starter, main course, pudding, 2 glasses of wine and hot chocolate - grand total £10!!!!!!!
