ZEN Broadband or Madasafish Broadband For Me?

Hi. My Orange broadband contract ends tomorrow so I'm going to get my MAC code and move, I'm considering two providers, Zen Internet and madasafish, after a little research I've discovered that madasafish are cheaper but that Zen have better service levels and connection. Can I ask you all for your feedback/experiences in dealing with either company please?

I have been using Zen for over a year and have never had any down time but I cant comment on the customer service as I have never had a need to use them. Only problem with Zen is the price but in some ways I guess you get what you pay for.
Dont have any experience of madasafish but its good to read the bulletin boards on adslguide.org if you haven't already http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/ hope its ok posting the link.
One good thing for you is that once your out of the contract you only have one month rolling contracts so it is much easier to change isp with Zen you need to give 15 days notice for this.
Hope this helps and isn't to much of a ramble.0 -
Have a look at the comparison between MAAF and Zen as rated by their own customers over the last six months. Hover your mouse over the bars to see the amount of votes and percentage for each month.
Although you will get excellent service from Samara on this site regarding MAAF problems. You will most likely find that you never need to use the customer service for Zen because they simply offer a faultless service (and this is what you get). You never see complaints about Zen on these boards because their service is so good.
I have been with Zen for approx 2 years. In that time I have not had one disconnection, not one slowdown, and not one reason to complain at my internet connection. It has worked full speed with no problems since I signed up.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I'd go with Zen, 1000 times better than MAAF0

I stupidly cancelled Zen internet to go with the Sky Max broadband offer (nightmare!!!)..as soon as Sky clear my line I'll be going back with Zen internet - yes they are more expensive than a lot of other ISPs but..
you get what you pay for, as others here have said Zen are 100% reliable, stable and I never had a single problem/disconnection with them.0 -
Just another vote for Zen. Can't fault them and have been with them for about a year now. Not the cheapest, but I am very happy with them.0

Not knocking Zen as all their feedback is very positive but all their users when posting say, Not the cheapest but ...
So if you want to consider some others that look good and may suit your circumstances and pocket better, have a look at IDNet and New Net, both highly rated, as is Entanet, which is I believe resold under various brands. See

There're certainly not Tiscali or Talk Talk!0 -
Another vote for Zen here. Very reliable never had a problem. They also throw in 2GB of webspace with unlimited traffic and a binary news server, both of which would cost a fair bit if you wanted to buy them separately.0

I am also a Zen user....Soon will be for two years...
First class service...
Not the cheapest but you get outstanding value for your money..0 -
Without trying to sound like a thicko, what is a binary news server and what use might I have for one please?0
