Is there an easy way to copy it? I typed it manually but it comes up with nothing found.
I doubled checked it:
PCIVEN_1039&DEV_7012&SUBSYS_200B1631&REV_A0\3&61AAA01&O&17
Perhaps the database doesn't go back that far!0 -

Try this one - ComboAudio_A1u370b.zip Get it from wherever
Please try and id your motherboard using siw, pcwizard or cpuz. Sis651 is a chip on the motherboard. Think you have via audio.0 -
Many thanks for the further replies. I had a bit of trouble opening the SiS7012 Audio Driver. It started installing and then a message 'update driver for plug and play devices - 536870397' came up with 'failed to install audio driver for XP'
I also tried the other two suggestions without success.
The PCWIZARD info on the motherboard is:
Manufacturer : Packard Bell NEC
Mainboard : NEC COMPUTERS INTERNATIONAL SiS651
Bios : American Megatrends Inc.
Chipset : SiS 645DX
Physical Memory : 1024MB
LPC bus : Yes
PCI Bus : Yes
AGP Bus : Yes
USB Bus : Yes
SMBus/i2c Bus : Yes
Bus HyperTransport : No
Bus QPI : No

Hi , the driver should be available via this page- ftp://ftp.download.packardbell.com/DESKTOP/
I don't know what year your imedia is.
Clicking eg 2005-2007 then driver on the linked page then directory xp link goes here
ftp://ftp.download.packardbell.com/DESKTOP/iMedia%20(2005-2007)/Driver/Xp/
which has several audio drivers! I'd google them or just try them all. Tried one and it was a quick d/l speed.
You'll have to find out year of machine or try all.0 -

Thanks but I have already tried them and none of them seemed to work. I think I will just buy a cheap sound card and forget about the onboard sound!0
