Well, actually it does help if we have the facts at the start. I don;t like it when people say "obviously I'm entitled to this that and the other" because of disability. These benefits are not (and should not be) automatic and like the poster above has stated different disabilities do affect a variety of thingsI_know_my_ABC_and_my_CMYK wrote: »I have firomyalgia and osteo arthritis, not that you really need to know.0 -
The course doesn't even given a certificate.Probably didn't need to know but there are often different rules depending on disability i.e. deaf/blind are sometimes able to claim benefits which people with other disabilities are not able to.
I'd speak to the college to see if it's classed as a FT or PT course.
What level is the course at?
If it's a PT course it's probably ok, if it's classed as FT you'd need to speak to your IS advisor to see if they'll accept it as PT anyway due to the hours involved.
DLA will be unaffected providing your care/mobility needs have not changed.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

I wasn't saying I am obviously entitled to DLA I was saying I receive DLA (obviously) because I have a disability. I have been in receipt of DLA since 2002.Well, actually it does help if we have the facts at the start. Hi
To count as full-time a course requires 12 hours a week contact time.
As a rule the amount of study is consider to be three times the contact time (2 hours contact time = 6 hours in total study time), assuming you have to do additional study for assessments etc.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

If someone receives DLA, then it's irrelevant as to what their disability is.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
