We missed you too! :kisses3:
The red below, btw, is your questions....
yup you canvery easily ((grow chili) from home saved seed or I've alot which you can have a few of
Not a problem, Pippi - I've bought this one today - I'll see if I like eating it (never bought one before! but its recommended for the arthritis) and I'll experiment with the seeds - I'll go read your blog again.
fennel pretty tough - bulb or herb? - its the bulbs I've got. I don't plan to eat the bulbs tho - I've been reading about eating the feathery fronds?
You've great plans....
Yep, see thats the trouble with me:o:o I love planning, and I make *great* plans, if I say so myself :rotfl: doing them is another matter. I'll have to really commit to doing it this time - there's a reason for growing the produce now, and it was all a bit fluffy before.
LT - you've been *proper* Christmas shopping! Anything nice?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
i was just finishing up the chrissy shopping. Got one nephew some clothes, the other some drum brushes (to go with drum stick case purchased in Londinium), trainers for OH to go with the rest of stuff bought, and loads of stuff from the £1 shop for his stocking, and a few bits for me as well. Also had to get a pink MP3 player for my niece's birthday.
Just got three people let to get for but i know pretty much what they will be and it's all done and dusted yippee!
Just got the horrible stage left to do - the wrapping up and the even worst stage- card writing.
not sure how chrissy will be this year as having to spend it with the outlaws for the first time ever!0 -
I'm a planner - very much so - hence the lack of writing for the thesis. Apologies if I'm making my whotnot suck eggs......................:)
Fennel - there are two types - bulb (Florence) squat wonderful looking things - eat both bulb and fronds - its an annual veggie that can be perennial
Herb one - grows upto - 5ft - no bulb well chunky bits - but you scoff the leaves - most folk grow that - its a perennial.
I love bothgood luck with the chilli
I'm always interested in other folks xmas shopping...........Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

You've got a point

No whotnot egg sucking going on here .... I didn't know there were 2 types! The parent plant is ginormous - its about 5 years old, and the "leaves" can be well over six feet tall. The thing they grow from *looked* like a bulb, but I'll take your word for it - only want the leaves anywaydigging up the bulb looks tough for me - but I'm judging by the six foot thing....
Right, off to finally have my evening meal .... and do the history buff thing with iplayer, after watching HP the other day.
See you tomorrow, Pippi!

hiya Pippi - blimey you've come a long way my dear!
If only I could apply myself so well to tackling the CC's. Still not spending on them but not really paying them off either.
As for me I'm pootling on with my master's, first assignment due in on Monday and still 750 words to go so far. It's one of those that is either really off the mark or its ok and I'm not really sure which side it falls on at present. Guess I'm hoping for the better side! good grief its hard work all that reading, living life and working full time with hardly any study time support. Still I wanted to do it and I was lucky enough to be given the chance so I can't complain, which I'm not really, how can I?!
I've picked my selling skills up and trying to be more confident about this and sold £70 of chutney at work. Have 2 cakes to sell, unfortunately they turned out a bit hard so I'm try to soften them up with more alcohol. Just wondering if I can cover the almond pattern with marzipan and icing to improve them! Hope so!
I'll be gardening away next year too. Picked up 2 lovely winter hanging baskets reduced from £19.99 to £2.99 bargain, the baskets cost more than that!
This year the salad worked well, that was about it bar the flowers. I've got some battered looking cabbages that I'll be trying over the next few weeks! NExt year more salad and veg etc and lets see if any of those fruit trees I planted this year give me a few pieces of fruit!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
i liked your photo Pippi, you made the church look 'warm' and inviting, and the textures in the door were wonderful. It just reeks of history!
Initially i was going to go to the church where we got married but i decided to try something different hence taking photo's in town whilst shopping. Was tricky though with all the shopper.
My chrissy shopping isn't that interesting really. It's usually done over a few months, we started boxing day last year, but i do try and finish it all off on the one day. Didn't realise whilst we were in town that it had snowed, guess it melted whilst we were battling in one shop to reach the tills. I have noticed that either it's all got more expensive this year or i'm spending more on the neices and nephews. I also wish it was easier to buy things for BIL's, it's just maddening!0 -
i def think i'll need you to keep me sane over christmas, the most i'm prepared to stay with them is christmas day and boxing day but i think that's more than enough really!0

LT - we'll keep each other going! Well done on getting it all done!!!
Hey there FU - lovely to hear you here! YOu've done brilliantly - hope to hear alot about the garden! Goodluck with the post grad - you're very dedicated.
Money - um - that walodger action and lack of chance to blow alot of it - only a few to go now - did a F&F for a big card today - hard - all my extra money gone - but I'll get there
Off to watch a film with the youngling folk xxxx
Oh - KC - fennel grand - you'll be fine - that one - grow anywhere!!

well done for doing the F&F, it's a good decision even if it does use up your nest egg. You can soon save some more - you've proven you can do it already!
calor gas has just given up the ghost, so had to plug in the oil fill leccy heater. Gonna have to get a new cyclinder tomorrow.
only development you've missed in this house whilst you had your one day sabatical, is that i have another energy owl, but this one downloads onto my puter and makes pretty charts. Another obsession i foresee.0
