Hello chev, hope you're doing okay.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

hey pippi
so close now! just have to keep your focus...
I am back again in the UK for a funeral, so am interested in what the weather is doing over there, so I know what to pack to wear.
Unixgirl, glad your OH went with you to the shops, will the shock of the prices change his outlook at all?
chev
HI Chev, it might change his mind for a bit. We were discussing how if he was shopping (i'm making chicken and tomato pesto pasta tonight), he would have bought chicken fillets. I bought chicken quarters (90p!) and roasted them, and filled up oven with other things as well. So at least the shopping has taught him a few things.
As for weather (I'm in central belt of bonny scotland), its about 14C here and drizzly.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Hey Pippi, hope that the writing is going well and that you are able to get a break.
I just came across this quote and instantly thought of you and your website/blog
"If it's drama that you sigh for, plant a garden and you'll get it. You will know the thrill of battle fighting foes that will beset it. If you long for entertainment and for pageantry most glowing, plant a garden and this summer spend your time with green things growing."
- Edward A. Guest, Plant a GardenSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
hey cherisong like that quote. Karma yes doing ok but I am sure the funeral will be as hard as diamond to get throughI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hugs to you Chev x
Woohoo Pippi, sounds like you're steaming ahead with the writing, the end is in sight
Well.....turns out I did break my leg when I fell over, so that's why it's been hurting so much, lol. Went back to the hospital for an xray of the top part of my calf and after 3 snaps of different angles, and a good look at my ankle ones again, it turns out I have a hairline fracture (so nothing too serious), and have been told to keep taking the painkillers, rest etc etc like I've been boring myself with for a couple of weeks already - the hospital gave me the good pills so I was quite spaced out last night and got sent home from my evening class (in a nice way) as I was feeling out of it and also a bit sick! I'm also back to using 2 crutches and guess I can keep on working from home for a while longer....as I should only drive if I feel 100% confident that I could do an emergency stop....gulp.
I spent basically my whole working day at the hospital and didn't log on when I got home after college and just went to bed. Feeling a bit pants now so maybe I should try and go back to sleep.....
In OH news, we're going to look at a house today - no, not for us, but for my parents! Keep your fingers crossed that they can hurry up and sell their place and grab this one as from the details it would be PERFECT, very close to me and DD, very cheap (it needs a lot of work). I popped in for a cup of tea yesterday on my way back from the hospital and can't wait to see him again today0 -
((((chev)))) baby steps will get you through it. There was an inspiratoinal poem at both funerals we went to over past couple months - which helped a bit. I can't do anything but send you love. xx chilly here at the mo, inbetween being really summery - pack everything!

I'd not say I'm steaming ahead with writing. But, getting there in my normal disorganised way.

Morning All, hope all is well with everyone. Have half day today and getting no peace. OH's kids are at it again. Lies and deceit, bringing people we don't know into house when we're not there and lying about it. I'm fuming. They don't see why I'm angry.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. good luck with dentists and well done for getting your draft ready for the end of this week. I know it's not what they want but they need to factor everything that's been going on in and think they're lucky they'll get it this week.
(((hugs))) Unix. Well done for gettting your OH to start understanding the cost of food etc today.0 -
How are you LT? Seeing your avatar reminds me of the cat I took pity on about 2 years ago. My stray is finally back after months of abscence, so he's enjoying sleeping in our shed, being fed chicken etc and a little tickle of the ears. He's a large black and white moggy. Had been worried about him being gone this long. I'd assumed something had happened to him or he'd found a permanent home.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
