Well the strawberry plants went today - they needed to venture forth - let me know when you get them!

Incredible is good a very sweet variety bred for good disease resistance and good cob size 16-18wks - 1-2 cobs

sundance is a good early maturing type high yeilding - 14-16wk to harvest good if the summer is a bit iffy

Mini-pop is a variety bred for mini-corn (pick when little) 3-5 per plant

    Personally Id go for sundance.

I shall bow to the superior knowledge of the stripey one. Please fill me in on the dosh details that i need to carry out.

Well done for getting the hedge work, that's fab news!!!!

    Have a lovely day Pippi! :j :j :j

We were doing a good Orkney sales pitch at our party last night :rotfl: Think we've persuaded a couple of people - give us a couple of years and we might arrive with a large retinue of folky musicians and general all-round-cheery folk and set up next door :D :rotfl:

Oh, and someone's given me a pneumatic drill - so that's my afternoon entertainment sorted :D :rotfl:

Got visions of you and Pippi organising the Orkney Folk Festival on the beach now :D

A pneumatic drill  What on earth are you doing with that? Or maybe I shouldn't ask...... Nobody being buried under the patio I hope :rotfl:

Pippi, I know it's been said by everyone, but, I just cannot understand what 'silly Daddy' is thinking.
It's probably just as well he is on a different land mass or we might get back to you 'sending the girls round'. We might feel the need to show him how good we have all become at sharpening garden implements recently, in a purely educational way of course.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
YAY I got the the tree planting and hedge putting in job and they want extra work and I'm charging proper proper rates and its an 'ongoing' gig already talking about other work!

    Exciting or what?

If I get it sorted I'll have earned enough in april for the whole month :)

    Yippee.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Fantastic news on your job Pippi...... like everyone else here, I knew you would get it! :T:T

Off to bed now...sore eye and tired...busy day tomorrow...off to the NEC with a friend...Sewing and Craft shows. I'll try not to spend too much money. Hope to get some material and stuff to start making birthday and Xmas pressies, as well as possibly some to sell....we'll see what bargains there are to be had.

Well done again on the planting job. x

Morning Pippi, well done on the job, you really know how to pull it out of the hat don't you :):):)

I've been up with the tweeting things too, can't wait for the clocks to change, I love bright spring mornings (even if I'm a lazy bear and don't actually tend to 'do' much).

    Morning all!

Early start here too, though not bright yet - very misty outside.

Congrats on the work Pippi, and I can only echo what everyone else has said re the silly Daddy situation.

Getting a headstart on the work here, and amusing myself watching the neighbour, who has just erected a full-size flag-pole complete with Union Jack at the bottom of the garden!!
