OneStopPhoneShop - Mandatory Insurance?
I've just placed an order on the OSPS site and right at the end I saw something about the agreement being conditional on taking up their phone insurance (free for the first 3 months etc).
I can't find it again in the Terms and Conditions but the way it was phrased seemed to indicate that the (cashback) agreement was based on keeping the insurance running (whereas I would normally just cancel within the "free" period).
Did I just misread it? They don't seem to be very clear on the procedure to cancel it either, compared to other sites where you're given the contact/phone number for cancellation.

you MUST take the insurance to place your order.
You can then cancel within the free period. It does not affect cashback.
They are hoping that people forget to cancel insurance as they obviously get comission from the insurer as well...0 -
I've just took out a 12 month free line rental deal and there is charge of £35.91 + £18 admin fee ??? I think it's for insurance but it does not say that you get 3 months free0

yes, you have to take it out and then cancel in writing
it is with Citymain Insurance (tel Tel no 01252 788300)
I faxed cancelation through and got confirmation to be sure.
I remember it did take a few weeks for OSPS to register our mobiles with them, so dont get caught out with thinking you have cancelled and then suddenly them getting your detals at a later date and forgetting you have already cancelled.Hark at you going all strict0
