Old TV & Recording

We still have a television which is about 15years old and still working just OK.
We now have Sky freesat but want to know what is the best way to record some programmes.
Our Sky box does not record and up to six months ago we had a dvd recorder which went pear shape.
Any useful advice would be helpful please, but money is an issue which is why we cancelled Sky.
You have to listen to learn!

3 choices if you want to record

    1. Buy a video recorder
    2. Buy a DVD recorder
    3. Buy a media recorder

If you want you can pay Sky £10 per month and your Sky+ box will regain the Sky+ PVR functions. Or buy a Freesat PVR (Humax Foxsat HDR is my choice).
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
