  • Had snow on the ground here since Wednesday evening but it really came down last night, when I left work at 7am this morning we had a couple of inches. Of course I've missed it because I've been asleep all day - stupid night shifts!

Off to check out the forums, make tea and head back to work! Drive safe everybody!

My OH and DD and DS1 are going to ice hockey tonite so I will be home alone with DS2 watching all the light "entertainment" on the telly, looking forward to a quiet snuggly evening looking out at the snow but not having to go out in it.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

It would be good to hear from some of the "old" regulars, there seems to be so many of them mising from the boards.

Was going to go to a gig tonight but not in this cold! Night in front of the telly or curled up with a book I think.

Soon be time for strictly. It is very cold here and more snow expected this evening. Hope it is cleared by Monday morning for school run and back to work. I hate driving in the snow and frost.

Pooky how much snow did you have we are only a few miles away from you and we had none. A very heavy frost, we actually froze the top of the fish pond at my friends house, but no snow! Had very grey skies this afternoon, but still nothing. Sorry not been on but been very busy with work; 2nd job had sales so at work until 10/11pm last week and then this week as walking in one evening in the rais slipped over down on my thigh and arm and totally jarred my body. Felt it for the next few days but luckily didn't do any real damage. Thankfully no one behind me or coming towards me or I would have died!! Billie xx

Brrrrrr, how chilly! I love this weather, cold and crisp, kills all the germs and you can hide under ooodles and ooodles of layers.

Took DD2 to see the local lights switch on, very pretty, with the snow still on the roofs it looked very magical.

Tonight will be a glass of wine and a film and an early night with a pod cast (of which I'll probably hear about 3 minutes of before falling asleep) Then tomorrow DH's parents are taking DD's and DH out for lunch and Harry Potter whilst I get to stay home alone........bliss! We've had some much carp going on over the past few weeks that a bit of "me" time will be very much welcomed.
