Afternoon all, having a rubbish day but at least I'm catching up on studying/filing/paperwork so I don't have to do anything like that until the New Year

Brrr, it's cold. I'm going to go to Starbucks to write and study. I need to proof read a novella I've written before submitting it, and the same with a short story for a different competition.
Just need to decide which Starbucks, city centre (busy, but near Mr.T so I'm killing two birds with one journey), studentville (will be packed) or suburb (snow may make getting there difficult).
It doesn't sound MS to go there, but at a quid for an hour and a half (or however long I can spin it out for) it's prbably no dearer than putting the heating on and making myself coffee.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
the heating is on here continuous and I'm still cold.

Hello All
Had a lovely lie in this morning, reading a book in bed with a hot chocolate drink!
No snow here, thank goodness. Although I love to look at it, I hate going out in it and because I haven't had a car for years, this would be the first time I have driven in it - if I have to.
I am supposed to be going to Birmingham on Monday afternoon for a conference on the Tuesday, so if anyone is in or near Birmingham can they tell me what the weather is like please?
I don't want to risk going all the way there and maybe being snowed in or having to drive on the motorways in snow!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Im just outside of Eastbourne and we have snow.
Nothing at 8 when we all got up. Started snowing heavily when we were on our way to Asda. Everyone was going mad stocking up on crazy things. The supermarkets must love it when there is even the slightest hint of a bit of bad weather. Took 2 hours to do the shop and pay
It has finally stopped after 3 solid hours and we have a good covering everywhere. The kids love it
Bet their school is closed on monday - any excuse0 -
Tenmah, motorways are usually fine to drive in in snow, they're a lot clearer and safer than normal residential roads. When I drove back from Liverpool in January there was sheet ice on the roads around the airport but once I was on the motorway it was just like any other time of year.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Yeah I though that when I typed it Ames, it is more the smaller roads I should worry about!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Hi everyone
Looks like everyone has snow then. We've had a lot, it came down heavy last night then, again this morning. The sky looks heavy again so no doubt we will be getting more.
I know what you mean about the shops pupsicola, we went this morning and it was so busy took us ages to get to the tills. You'd have thought it was christmas now the way people were shopping.
Bet our schools are closed on monday too, the kids would like that.
We had to nearly dig the car out this morning.
Its started to snow again
Will see everyone later, take care now.0 -
bloody snow everywhere - cant get out for a run

its almost like noone expected the snow? not that it hasnt been forecast for the past week. had to drive how past midnight last night after the cinema and it took over an hour an a half for a normally 20min journey.Mr & Mrs Doomcow Wedding Fund: £10200/£18000 (by 04/2012) (spent £2000)
