    Hello,

    Today I have:

    - checked my bank online
    - gone to the bank with OH's share of the rent (I pay it from my account and I realise if he pays me in cash it never actually goes on the rent at all, it gets frittered away on who knows what!)
    - made dinner from stuff in the freezer
    - went to Lidl and bought the week's shopping for the 2 of us (there was a voucher for Lidl in the paper today)

Now I am going to put my feet up after the cleaning the house and dealing with my OH's tired and slightly grumpy 3 year old (he has a cold).

Enjoy the rest of your weekends!

    hi everyone
    today i have:
looked into opening First direct bank account
    moved some money around
checked which DD's need to move and moved a couple.
been christmas shopping, still within budget, only a couple left to get, got most pressy's at reduced prices.

    tomorrow:
visiting parents and picking up bookers card
going to bookers to get cake baking stuff for fund raising baking fest which is happening on friday
going to visit sister to give BIL his birthday pressy - still need to get a couple of bits of it before we go
wrap chrissy pressies with last years paper
start writing cards (left overs from 3 years ago, still using them up!) and make some more 'posher' ones.

doesn't sound very money saving but everything is within budgets or plans and it's me being in control of other things as well as money.

i'm also working on how to make a water bottle insulated snug for my animals water bottles as i can't/won't spend 8 quid on them in the shop.

Lemon tree ur post got me thinking.

there was a thread in the last week on the christmas board about if presents cost under the budget for people do you spend more on them to make it up. In my humble opinion no, in fact it would make me happier if something cost the person less than than the retail price.

    Morning all :j

    This weekend I have:

Been food shopping at Mr S and used £10 off voucher I was sent in the post (so was able to stock up)

Claimed £50 payout from YouGov surveys as I got 5000 points at last (it has taken years, but the surveys don't take long, just a few minutes really, so money for nothing very much).

Emailed ebay to ask why my payments keep getting diverted to a non-existent paypal account (due to wrong / non existent email address) where I can't claim them and I have to keep badgering buyers to reclaim them and send me a cheque. No response as yet

Tidied up a bit (but still pretty messy in here - too exhausted yesterday)

HM meals - made meat and gooseberry pies from freezer ingredients (2 separate ones, not together )

    Checked online banking

    Seen to dogs and chooks

    Today:

    Bit more tidying up

Going to see DD1 and little ones for lunch :j

Leave something for lunch for brother who seems to be stuck here permanently now

Cut recipes and vouchers I want to keep from old magazines and put rest in recycling.

Write a cheque for vets bill to post tomorrow

Might think of some more things later!

    Morning all,

The only thing I achieved yesterday was watching most of the things on my Sky Box I must have more energy today to complete everything on my list.

    Additional items for today:
    - might be brave enough to go into town to buy a cheap card for my Nan's birthday
    - might make chocolate caramel muffins
    - have something to eat before I go into town (to resist a Wetherspoons breakfast)
    - do my nails as they need a bit of work!
    - shower and an early night as I am back to work tomorrow

There's plenty to be getting on with, so best get going

  • Hello :hello:. Can I join you lovely folks please? I used to be a regular on here, but have lapsed recently. However I have just jumped back on the DFW wagon, and this thread really helps me.

A rare Sunday off for me today, but the weather is freezing (although no snow) so DS (1yo) and I will be staying home today.

-NSD (third in a row :j)

    -Do Bingoport posts

-Swagbuck searches, watch some SBTV, generally earn more Bucks.

    -Check for MS

-Watch Love Film DVD so can post it back tomorrow.

    -Meal plan for the week

    -List five more eBay items

-Cook storecupboard tea of shepherdless pie.

    -Make soup and HM bread

-Sort our bedroom and get rid of at least one large carrier bag of junk and one for charity shop too.

Think that will about do me for today! Hope everyone has a good sunday.
