    Well now I'm totally confused with this shower of :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: now!

    E-mailed them to say that they hadn't received my disc back and were still charging me even though I had closed my account due to their rubbish service. Lo and behold, their customer care didn't let me down, I got a generic e-mail reply that ignored all my points...and then this morning I received a disc that isn't on my list and isn't showing as 'at home' on my rental queue. What the hell are they doing?

    I know what I'll be doing...keeping their sodding disc as compensation :p

    Ring them on 01279770080 (be prepared for a wait) and tell them how bad the service has been over the last two weeks.

    They can look at your account and see when you last returned discs, and when (if) they sent any recently, and will credit your account with free days to make uo for the poor service. That pushes forward the date when your next payment will be taken.

    rang them today, they said computer system has been down and i will get some dvd's in 48hrs!
    gave me another week on my free 3 month trial:rotfl:
  • i signed up to screenselect on october 1st for their free trial, received my 2 discs within a couple of days, only got round to watching one of them and decided it wasn't worth continuing with them after my free trial was up, so i logged on (then found out they were now lovefilm) and cancelled my trial on the 11th.

    went to post back my discs then realised that the one i hadn't gotten round to watching had no disc in the case! tried to log it on line but there didn't seem to be an option for that so put a note in with the empty case and sent it back.

    got email on 16th saying "we have received an empty case from you ... please return the disc or you will be charged £20" !!

    i sent them a reply saying they had sent me the empty case i didn't expect to be charged for something i never received!

    not heard from them since, and my account appears to be closed, but i'll be keeping an eye on my bank statements for a while :(

  • Just finished my free trial without any problems so far. I received my films every other day after posting the previous one back to them, one thing i would recommend to everyone though is to get proof of posting, that way if something goes wrong its not down to you. I cancelled through their site without any problems, although they try about 4 times to keep you signed up with various offers, now trying tesco 60 day trial, even though they use lovefilm, will keep you all posted :beer:

    I took out the free trial for the boots points and I didnt get any discs from them. Everything was still waiting in the queue so I just called up to cancel but my account is still showing as active so ive emailed them too so fingers crossed they cancel it.
