I was with sanisburys dvd rental which is now love film.
I always send me dvd back via proof of posting as they lost one and then my husband sent one back while I was away just in a normal post box and it took over 5 days to get to them I filled in a lost dvd but luckily it arrived!
I'm going to cancel at the end of the year as they keep sending me dvd at the bottom of the listEm Tysoe

they are being really slow in sending discs, so for every hour after one working day that they are late(from 3pm) i send 10 emails to them. in 1 week i have had my free trial extended from 22 dec to 1st jan. and i shall keep doing it until they pick their ideas up. this has been a big problem with them since they merged with screenselect...yet screenselect were the better company.0

The moral to this is allow at least a week before your trial is up, clear out your rental queue and get the last disc in the post back to them. I set a reminder in Outlook. Only once the disc is marked as received do you cancel.
I got stung by ScreenSelect on my first 'free' trial by them claiming not to have received the discs after I cancelled (hmm, what a coincidence).
I'll never get caught again!0 -

Do they still have the option to "Freeze" your acct? That way you can avoid the extra charges whilst they get round to acknowledging the disk is back.0 -
mrs_baggins wrote:I have only just signed upto screen select before i saw this thread!! it seems they are part of lovefilm but on screen selects terms it says if you cancel before the period ends or b4 you get a disc they wont honour the deal or something like that. I signed up last week and received 1 disc but think i shall get proof of postage when i return it just in case
I have today cancelled my subscription and will get a proof of postage before I send the 2 films that I have back. Losing out on the 750 points is better than having to pay £12.99 a month. It is a free subscription and it says you can cancel anytime within the 21 days. Not read anywhere about not honouring points. Where did you see that?0 -
their service has been really bad these past 2 weeks, but up until then they had been the best for service, by far.
it says to use the reporting a problem tool if your disc hasn't been sent after the 2nd day, but when i click on this from my account it says no action required as i don't have discs at home. I KNOW I DON'T HAVE ANY DISCS AT HOME!!! THAT'S WHAT I'M REPORTING
