Which contract is better? / Please recommend a contract!

Hi this is my first time entering into a contract deal and I just don't want to fall into any loopholes or be conned because a deal seems to be good value and really isn't

Phone : HTC Wildfire - Comes free with the contracts I have chosen!

Uses : I use skype a lot and I like to surf the web on my phone

So far:

I have found a £15 a month contract from 3 - this gives me free skype and 500mb of internet. A mix of 300 minutes & texts to use how you like (anytime, any network) 24 months
http :// threestore . three. co.uk/DealSummary.aspx?tariffid=1560&offerCode=24TL30D067&id=1183

I have also found £15 a month contract from T-Moblie - this 300 cross-network mins + 300 texts + Unlimited data • 24 months
http :// www . buymobilephones .net/mobile-phones/HTC/HTC-Wildfire-Free-Line-Rental-Discount/T-Mobile/T-Mobile-15-%2824mths%29-inc.-Internet/5416273?adnetwork=af

I don't know why these contracts are the same price? The T-mobile one seems so much better as it also lets you use skype all the time as it has unlimited internet! Does T-mobile have bad reception or internet connectivity?

Is there a reason I should choose 3? Are there any better deals that you know of that come under £15 a month?

Over all I just want to know what you think of these contracts and whether I should go for it.

Thanks in advance.

how much r u wanting to spend? How many minutes texts do you need/want? Also check your t-mobile coverage here http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/coverage/street-check/?WT.mc_id=streetcheck
  • Right.... A little bit of hassle, but if the allawance suits....

£20 for Wildfire handset. 24 month contract - 100 Minutes. Unlimted texts and 3GB internet for £10 a month. 1 Month free line rental

Ring Tmobile, its on there site for £99. Ask questions about the data allowance for example. Is it 1GB or 3GB. keep ringing and someone will say can I process the order for you. Say you are ordering online to get backback from TOPcashback - Pay £80 at the moment... and they should offer to match it...if not ring back and start again!

I would recommending looking at the Motorola Defy for £6 extra.

You have to remember with SKYPE and Three, is that if you use their app it's unlimited Skype-to-Skype
It does not come out of your data allowance.

I only want to spend a max of 15 pounds a month. I text very little ... less than 30 texts a month. I would like around 300 minutes. Unlimited internet is great! :D

Oh thanks for the coverage check link! That was v.handy!

Its a little out of my budget ... I don't think I understand the payment plan ... could you send me a link to the site ... I looked for it but I couldn't find the same deal ... cheers!

Yeah the Motorola Defy looks awesome ... so cool! It's so rugged!

Thanks, yeah that's why I might go for the Skype deal I mentioned above ...

Although I wish it came with more internet allowance!

Warning. Do not rely solely on the coverage maps. They are an indicative guide only and can not be used to get out of a contract if reception in your home is non-existent.

The only due diligence you can rely upon is testing reception yourself with the relevant network where you need it. Ideally, it would also be with the chosen handset too, but that is probably unrealistic. Find a friend, neighbour etc who is on the preferred networks, explain your predicament and get them to either come round or lend you their mobile to test out reception.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter a fig which is a few quid cheaper if you can't get a signal. You are committing for a large sum of money here and for 2 years too.
