Same channels, just the ability to record, watch one channel while recording another and on some boxes, record 2 channels and watch another.Dave. :wave:0

Freeview+ is not an additional platform, it's just the extra facilities you get using Freeview via a PVR rather than a plain Freeview box.No free lunch, and no free laptop

yep with freeview+ you can record one channel while watching another (some you can record 2 channels while watching another) it records it direct to the HDD in the box and also gives you the option to rewind live TV.
whereas plain freeview you can watch one channel (and if you want to record, you can record that same channel to a something like a VCR)0 -
hmm, i thought all the hype made it out to be a new thing..
my freevew recorder box can do the 2 channel thing already, and thats been around for a couple of years!
if only i'd held on for a month or so, could have got a far bigger memory, to hold the shows / series i wanted!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

A PVR isn't really designed or long-term archiving, for that you want a DVD recorder. No free lunch, and no free laptop
