Driving another car with owners permission

Re. Elephant's Policy Booklet; I presume they would say that their latest policy booklet is the one that applies would they not (I think you can download them)? So as per the highlighted clause, I cannot drive after all. This seems a bit of unreasonable nonsense by Elephant as if I were driving I would have to claim under my own insurance in which case it makes no difference whether 'there is a valid insurance policy in force for that car' as per Elephant's conditions or not. But I guess if anything happened they would use that clause to get out of it if they could.0

The DOC is not designed to replace having a car insured.
So as an example, it's intended to be used if you are travelling with someone and they get a migraine and can't drive.
What they might be trying to clamp down on here, is people not getting insurance at all.
e.g. a married person could drive 2 cars on one policy by having the second car in their spouse's name to get round the "not owed by you" clause and driving the second car entirely on the DOC extension.0
