    Hi

How did you work that out?

I didnt work it out, I was just using it as an example, the figures themselves are not exact!

I've had this one now for a couple of years, bought back when it was £449. Also a good price as it includes a five year warranty. I wound up getting the Tefal preference range of pans. Debenhams do them in their 25% sales all the time. They're induction compatible, dishwasher proof and none-stick. There aren't many that tick all three boxes.

Than ts good to know! Tefal preference, I'll have to have a google! You may have saved me a good few hours research there, thank you! Induction, dishwasher and none stick, what more could I ask for!

I've only really seen induction in home shows but.....

I think it depends on how you intend to cook. If you do lots of pan cooking that'll need tossing, then as seems to be the choice. Even the sales person admitted induction is not very good for stir frying. This is of course assuming you are planning to get a good quality stir fry with crisp edges - this can only be done in heavy pan heated to high tempreture. It also doesn't seem to take wok (or pans thats not deemed fit for induction).

On the other hand induction was impressively quick to bring a pan of water to boiling. Personally, I'm not too fussed about how quickly it can bring the pan to boil though.....
  • Test your pans with a magnet before investing in a new set. If a magnet sticks to the pan, they are induction compatible. If they don't, look for a new set. We have stainless steel pans which have a base which a magnet sticks too and therefore we can use them with our induction hob (saved purchasing a new set).

As for a wok, we bought a Jamie Oliver Tefal stir fry pan which we use for stir frying. Does the trick nicely.
