    wrong, the JC would simply tell you to phone up the benefit enquiry line

    But you don't know that do you, because as usual you are sat there doing nothing rather than being proactive.

    Our local jobcentre plus has publkic freephones just for calling the benefits call centre, they do not directly do benefits equiries there, and the call centre is not open to the public.

    As you are sat at home rather than doing anything constructive, clearly you do not.
    Our local jobcentre plus has publkic freephones just for calling the benefits call centre, they do not directly do benefits equiries there, and the call centre is not open to the public.

    The JCP office will not deal with general queries, but the OP claims that it is someone from this office that has made a mistake. As such, a complaint to the office manager should lead to a giro being issued on the spot. There is no other way that she is going to get money today.

    our local office is not the one we sign at, we sign at the main one in newcastle


    they have done a same day transfer, just waiting for it to go into the bank
  • Everytime I've phoned this shower, they tell me to go to the Jobcentre with my enquiries.

    It kind off defeats the purpose of having a helpline. Useless, I hope they all get paid off with these cutbacks. :mad:
