T-Mobile tariff + Mobiles.co.uk Question

Hi all,

I am planning to get HTC Desire STD from mobiles.co.uk on T-Mobile as they seem to have a good 18mth deal at the moment.

Mobiles.co.uk
18mths @ £30
Free handset
600min
500txt
Ulmt Data (we all know it is capped)
13mths ½ price through redemption
18 x 30 = 540
13 x 15 = 195 (cashback redemption)
Total = 345
Quidco = 50
Potential deal = 295

My questions are:

1) mobiles.co.uk is owned by Carphonewarehouse, does it mean that it is trustworthy in terms of paying cashback and also in terms of returning faulty phones, etc?
2) the tariff I might go for is 600min/500txt/Unlimited internet (I know it is not unlimited). Is the voicemail (12p/min) included in the monthly allowance, i.e., it wouldn’t get charged or is it charged on top of the 600mon allowance?

My only phone contract was over 10 years ago, and I’ve been on PAYG ever since.

I might only take this contract because the cheapest simfree Desire I can find is from O2 shop at £329 and then I would have to get a simplicity sim on top. The contract would be much more cost-effective.

Or shall I wait until near or after Christmas?

Comments are appreciated

    1. Your choice if you trust them or now - they are part of CPW and you can read the threads on the forum to work out your own conclusion. Have had no problem myself with mobiles, used to have trouble with CPW delays in past.

    2. Voicemail - probably be charged but it depends on the exact tariff - you need to look at t-mobile web site to work out if charges apply to a particular tariff. The higher tariff usually include free voicemail but no guarantee of that. You could use Hullomail as altenative to get free voicemail.
