  • Don't forget the affects of the gulf stream. That's protecting us too. Or should be. Doesn't feel like it today.

The jet stream protects us from the really cold weather that Russia and Canada get - disruption to this via climate change means we loose this protect = cold wet weather.... that and Cornwal will sink...

I got sunburn cycling to work this am :-(
  • I read that the earth is due to enter a new ice age and that the slight warming and resulting melting of ice caps was a natural prelude to this. All I do know is that within a couple of weeks I'm having TLX Gold multi foil insulation installed over my rafters, making the top of the roof airtight, yet vapour permable and then having 100mm of Celotex PIR insulation installed between and under the rafters. I should beat Part L building regs of 0.2 U values, which is pretty good for a house build in the 1700s!

I'm getting ready for the end of the world, but instead of me wearing a tin foil hat, I'm putting it on my house. ;)

The magnetic poles are changing position, which will lead to................... something or other.....whatever it is it won't be good news (unless you have bought Gold)

IIRC, the North and South pole swap, magnetically speaking, every few thousand years or so. The magnetic field gets weaker and then all of a sudden your compass switches the other way round or something like that anyway,

It's the Jetstream which is causing this one, I prefer that changing than the gulf stream which you rightly point out.

The Day After Tomorrow is coming true.

It is, I predicted it would be Sunday.

On a similar matter When it came out I told my brother I watched the Day after tomorrow yesterday. Most confusing.
